Directions to San Diego:

By Air: The airport code for San Diego International Airport, also known as Lindbergh Field, is SAN. Carlsbad McClellan-Palomar Airport (CLD) is also fairly close, but Lindbergh is better.

By Car: Head West on I-8, or head South on I-5 or I-15. You'll get there eventually! If you fly off into the ocean, or enter Mexico, you've gone too far!

By Train: The Amtrak station code is SAN. It's downtown and pretty close to our house! Depending on where you are staying, you might also exit at Solana Beach or Old Town stations.

Accommodations:

Airbnb is a great way to find a fully furnished apartment or house for a very reasonable price. You can search by "entire place" to get the place all to yourself, or for a lot less you can just go for a room. We've always found Airbnb places all over the world to be really clean, comfortable, and well done.

There are lots of good hotels all over town, but you might want to focus on downtown San Diego. The Manchester Grand Hyatt has good rates and is a 15 minute walk from where the party will be located. The U.S. Grant hotel is a bit (ehh, just a wee bit!!) more pricey, and is about a 5 minute walk away. The famous Hotel Del Coronado is spectacular – it's not downtown but it's not too far. Otherwise, search on TripAdvisor!
